ABOUT THE COURSE
Embody what you teach
Our 200hr courses thoroughly prepare you to teach yoga, and 90% of our trainees teach within 3 months of graduating. Compared to 35% on average. We have run this course for 17 years and every time we learn how to support you better; so that you exvel as a teacher. This is a broad, experiential curriculum, non-dogmatic and rooted in yoga philosophy. You'll leave with the knowledge, skills and confidence to teach with depth and authenticity. This inclusive training covers teaching for complete beginners, and includes chair yoga, restorative practices, anatomy, philosophy, and full business setup support.

The training days are from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. with an hour for lunch. Lunch is usually from 1.00 - 2.00 p.m.

At least 2 years steady practice, including one year of regular practice online or in person with a teacher.
An understanding of the key yoga asanas such as trikonasana (triangle pose), vrksasana (tree pose), bhujangasana (cobra), ardo mukha svanasana (down dog) etc. The course teaches you how to teach these and other yoga postures. Having an understanding of what the body is doing in these asanas is key, so that you can draw on your experience when it comes to teach them yourself.

You need one day or two evenings a week to study at home. Home study is adaptable to suit your needs & is guided & supported. It will include:
* Reading the key texts
* Preparing an anatomy & physiology group presentation
* Preparing a Yoga sutra presentation
* Talking together about yoga philosophy concepts as part of the course
* Observing 6 yoga classes and writing up your observations as a course assignment
* Teaching 6 yoga classes & reflecting on your teaching as a course assignment
* Writing a main essay on a yoga topic of your choice
There are also a couple of reviews, exams & assessments as part of the course. These include:
* An anatomy & physiology open book exam
* Studying for your final written review / exam
* A personal practice assessment - to check you understand the main principles of the yoga postures & practices
* A final teaching assessment

The Hatha & Restorative 200 hour Teacher Training tuition fees are £3,597.
Payment plans and bursaries are available.

Payment Plan - £1000 deposit payments of £216.42 per month for 12 months
Total fees - £3,597When you apply, you will be asked to pay a £1000 deposit. If your application is successful, you will be automatically signed up to the payment plan which is available on your application date, using the payment method you provided to pay your deposit.
Your first payment will be taken automatically 1 month after you pay your deposit. Your payment schedule can only be changed with agreement from Bristol School of Yoga.

There are a number of books you will need to read and be familiar with before starting the course, and some books that we recommend you read to support your studies. I hope you will find all of them useful throughout life too.

The course is registered with and certified by YogaPros UK. You will also receive a BSY certificate of attendance for 200-hours.

All deposits and payments are NON-REFUNDABLE.
Deferral to a future course is available for a fee and at the discretion of Bristol School of Yoga Ltd, and no later than 3 months prior to the course start date.

All of the dates noted above must be attended in person or live via zoom. For credential purposes, catch up can not be achieved with recorded content. If you miss a day or more of training we will offer a group catch up session towards the end of the course. This catch up date is NOT included in the course fees, exact fees will be determined closer to the date and dependant on how many people need the extra hours.
