BSY Catch up Policy

In order to fulfill the requirements of our courses that have been set by Yoga Alliance Professionals, any time missed on our courses must be made up if you are looking to gain accreditation with us.

We know that sometimes life happens…a bus is late, or a tyre bursts, but any time period of 1 hour or more missed on the course will need to be made up. You can do this by either attending another 200hr training course that is already running or by arranging a 1-2-1 with the course teacher, either in person or online.

Catch up

If you need to miss a module you may catch up on a later course, the fee for this is £100. Or you may be able to arrange a 1-2-1 catch up session with the course tutor at a rate of £75/hour.  The cost of this will depend on how long you need and if anyone else has missed similar content.  Where possible we try to arrange a catch up with several trainees that have missed content so the cost can be divided amongst you so costs are kept to a minimum.

Depending on the content missed, you will not need to make up all of the hours on a 1-2-1 basis as you can usually get through training material more quickly. We roughly assume that for 3 hours missed you would need 1.5 hours of catch up time 1-2-1.

If you catch up on another 200hr course we won't add you to the first or the final module of another course as it is too disruptive for the group. If you miss the first or the final module, you will need to catch up on a 1-2-1 basis. 

Of course, the above is only a last resort, and we would much prefer it if you can arrange any medical appointments, childcare, work commitments etc. so that they do not clash with the course training. Coming in part-way through a session can make the training feel disjointed for others and, as we aim to foster a safe space in which to develop you all as amazing yoga teachers, we would prefer this not to be the case. Of course, we understand that at times, this can’t be helped.

Due to the requirements set by Yoga Alliance Professionals, we are not able to send you a recording as a replacement for course hours, as these hours are to be made up of live contact time.
