WORLD MENOPAUSE DAY

A DAY TO PAUSE

Strength, deep rest and renewal for midlife women

Sunday 18 October 2026

This World Menopause Day, give yourself a day to pause, to rest deeply, to share with other women and to discover simple, life-enhancing movements you can integrate into every day.

You don't need to be particularly fit or flexible, and you certainly don't need to have been practising yoga for years. The day is designed for real bodies and real lives, with plenty of options and encouragement to work at a level that feels right for you.

There is so much advice about what we should be doing during peri/menopause — lifting weights, eating protein, sleeping well — all of which can feel impossible at times.

This day is about taking some of that pressure away and exploring movement, breath and rest that is research-based and easy to follow.

Morning - Mobility & Bone Health

10am - 1pm

A morning of yoga, mobility and body-weight movement that has the power to support and protect your bones.

With expertise in how to support women regardless of how mobile or strong you are, we will shape the day to suit you.

In the morning we'll pay particular attention to the hips and pelvic floor, as well as areas that can become stiffer and more uncomfortable around menopause, including the shoulders and spine.

There will be gentle weight-bearing work to support bone health alongside mobility and strengthening exercises, all taught in a way that allows you to work at your own level. You don't need to be flexible and you won't be expected to keep up with anyone else.

The aim is simply to help you understand your body a little better and leave feeling more mobile, stronger and more confident about how you can support yourself through this stage of life.

Afternoon - Deep Rest

Understand the Research + Q&A

2pm - 2.30pm

Time to connect, come back, enjoy a cup of tea and gain some clarity on what you do need to protect your bone health. There is so much conflicting information, so we'll refer to the latest research and explore what lifting heavy actually means, whether it's necessary and how to approach jumping when your pelvic floor has its own ideas.

Restorative Yoga & Deep Rest

2.30pm - 4.30pm

After the morning session, we'll slow everything right down.

The afternoon will include restorative yoga, gentle guided breathwork and a deep relaxation (Yoga Nidra), giving you the chance to properly switch off and allow your whole body to rest.

You can book the afternoon on its own if that's what you need most, or stay for the whole day and let the movement of the morning gradually lead you into deep rest.

A small, welcoming group

There are just 16 places available, so this will be a genuinely small and personal group rather than a large workshop.

You don't need to come with a friend. You're very welcome to come on your own, and there will be plenty of time to chat, have a cup of tea and get to know the other women there. Sometimes simply being in a room with people who are experiencing some of the same changes can be reassuring in itself.

Tea and nutritious snacks are available.

Lunch isn't included, so you can bring your own or head out for lunch, whatever suits you.

Whether you come for three hours, two and a half hours or give yourself the whole day, the important thing is that you make some time for yourself.

You don't need to be flexible enough, fit enough or experienced enough. Just come as you are, and we'll take it from there.
